Washed-out englishwoman crawled to finish of marathon and day after returned to work

Englishwoman Hayley Carruthers on her hands and knees reached finish of London marathon, however day after she came to work. On the last few meters of 42 km distance Carruthers fell on her knees and was not able to stand up again. She had to crawl to come to finish as a result of which she broke her knees. She posted to Instagram the picture with bandaged knees with the caption “By now I know how marathons shouldn’t be run”. Nevertheless day after Carruthers returned to Birmingham hospital, where she works as a roentgenologist. Young woman was able to cover a distance for 2 hours 34 minutes and 3 seconds. She is a runner since 2016.
