The Orthodox World celebrates Easter – the main feast among all. Very light and enjoyable day. The day, which millions of believers, face with the words “Christ has resurrected”.
Vladimir Putin wished happy Easter to Russians. He remarked that Easter conjoins people over timeless spiritual values and ideals. In all orthodox churches there were services held overnight into Sunday. The main service – in Moscow in Cathedral of Christ the Savior. It was conducted by Kirill the Patriarch. From Jerusalem the modicum of Holy Fire was delivered thereto.
For this service came president Vladimir Putin, the head of the Government and major of Moscow. Later it had become known that Vladimir Putin presented to the Patriarch Kirill the Easter egg “Resurrection of Christ”, hewn out of Ural greenstone. It was created in a single copy by the foremen of Chrysostom.
